Bishop Pipho invites folks to join an online study on the “Faith & Civic Life” Social Statement on Thursdays in Lent beginning February 19 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Faith & Civic Life teaches how our Lutheran witness to Jesus Christ can be lived out publicly in the world. This teaching document of the ELCA was recently approved at the 2025 ELCA Churchwide Assembly in Phoenix and repudiates Christian Nationalism.
I look forward to introducing the social statement to the New England Synod in five sessions during Lent.
