When our new door lock system was installed last year, one of the new features was the ability to set specific doors to unlock and lock automatically.
Unfortunately, in today’s society, attacks on places of worship, including active shootings, do occur. The Church Council feel that we should do all we can to keep our members, guests and visitors safe.
Starting on Sunday, November 2, 2025, the main entrance doors to the Ministry Center (off the rear parking lot) will be programmed to automatically lock 15 minutes after a worship service begins, rather than being left unlocked. [The front narthex doors have been on a timed system since last year.]
Anyone arriving after the doors have been locked will be directed to use the front doors facing Auburn Street, where someone will be available to let them in.
