Our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Shrove Tuesday is the day immediately preceding Ash Wednesday. As the final day before the austerity of Lent, pancakes were traditionally served as a way to use up eggs, sugar and fat — commonly forbidden during the Lenten fast — so these items would not go to waste.
We will be serving pancakes and sausage from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. We will also have activities for the kids, including a pancake toss!
All members of the First Lutheran church and Children’s Programs are invited to join us for this free meal.
